Escape the heat at these bars in Dubai this weekend

This article was updated on 8 August 2025

It’s August in Dubai, which means it’s time to hide indoors from the heat and ideally somewhere high up with a cocktail in hand. While open-air terraces take a summer break, the city’s bars and rooftops aren’t going anywhere. Here are some of the best bars in Dubai to keep you cool while it’s 49°C outside.

McCafferty’s JVC

Often frequented by the Irish in Dubai, McCafferty’s JVC is the place to go if you’re looking for good drinks, good food and a lot of craic. There’s always live music and you’ll be guaranteed to have a good night if you decide to take a trip to Circle Mall on your weekend.

Location: Circle Mall, JVC

Opening hours: Daily 10am to 2am

Amelia

Amelia channels retro-futuristic steampunk through rich textures, dramatic, low lighting, and dark, moody palettes, setting the stage for a night that feels cinematic.
