If you’ve still got a few annual leave days left in the bank, now is the perfect time to start planning. While several UAE public holidays have already passed, there are still two official breaks left on the calendar before 2027 arrives.

By using just five days of annual leave strategically, you can turn them into a total of 14 days off work, giving yourself the chance to squeeze in another staycation, a quick getaway or simply some extra time to relax before the busy festive season and the start of a new year.

Prophet Muhammad’s Birthday (PBUH)

Dates to book: Friday, August 21 and Tuesday, August 25

Prophet Muhammad’s Birthday (PBUH) is expected to fall on Monday, August 24, although the date is subject to the moon sighting. By taking Friday and Tuesday off, you’ll enjoy a five-day break.

UAE National Day

Dates to book: Monday, November 30; Tuesday, December 1; and Friday, December 4

The UAE National Day holidays are set for Wednesday, December 2 and Thursday, December 3. By using three days of annual leave around the public holiday, you can enjoy a nine-day break stretching across two weekends.
