Emerging victorious from a nervy clash with World Cup cohosts, Mexico – England fans are once again daring to dream the forbidden ‘it’s coming home’ dream. It’s a long way from certain of course, but one man who has been instrumental in the journey so far, is Jude Bellingham.

The attacking midfielder, a native of Stourbridge, scored twice in the round of 16 match win that sees England now go on to face Norway in the quarter finals. But what does the Real Madrid marksman do to blow off steam when he’s not rattling them into the top bins?

Desert safaris in Dubai apparently. That’s according to a recent Visit Dubai campaign, which sees video footage of Bellingham discussing his favourite things to do when he’s in the UAE.

In the video, shared on the Visit Dubai social media channels, he mentions that he’s visited Dubai multiple times, and acknowledges that it’s the people that make him feel most welcome here. He says coming to Dubai is like “escaping to another world”.

Bellingham also enjoys walking in malls and heading to the spa to help him deal with the stresses of the modern game. And by stresses of the modern game, we of course mean VAR decisions.

In a second video, where he plays the internet’s favourite ‘this or that?’ game, we also find out that he’s a fan of the beach, hidden gem cafes, and Dubai Marina’s skyline. No word on how he feels about the other stereotypical English touristic activities of brunching, sun burn and ordering chips – but we feel like he’d be proud of the buzz, choruses of Wonderwall and general ‘it’s coming home’ banter now rife in the city’s fan zones.
