Here are 6 things to do in Abu Dhabi to add to your diary this week

Explore a new children’s exhibition at Louvre Abu Dhabi

Louvre Abu Dhabi new exhibition

Louvre Abu Dhabi has a new exhibition children can enjoy: A Board Game Adventure, where little ones ages four to 12 can discover, play and learn through an immersive journey into the world of board games. There are 24 artworks and artefacts which highlight the rich history of board games and trace how games have been created, adapted and shared across cultures and regions. The three thematic sections transform the children’s museum into a life-size game environment. You can continue the experience out in the courtyard where you’ll find large-scale, hands-on activities and workshops. You can also view iconic artworks, including Portrait of William and Penelope Welby Playing Chess (1769) by Francis Cotes, alongside historical games such as Mancala, one of the oldest games in the world, and the ancient Egyptian Mehen (Snake Game), a rare surviving example of this early game.

When: Tuesday to Sunday, 10am to 6.30pm (until 8.30pm on weekends)
