Eligible UAE customers can now check out using Crypto.com Pay

If you’ve been looking for a new way to pay for your next holiday, Emirates has just added one.

The Dubai-based airline has officially launched Crypto.com Pay as a payment option, allowing eligible customers in the UAE to book flights using cryptocurrency through the Emirates website and app.

The new feature is available to UAE residents with a Crypto.com account who are booking flights priced in UAE dirhams (AED).

How it works

Paying with cryptocurrency is designed to be a straightforward process.

If you’re booking through the Emirates App, simply select Crypto.com Pay at checkout. You’ll then be redirected to the Crypto.com app to approve the payment before returning to the Emirates app, where your booking confirmation and e-ticket will be issued.

For those booking on emirates.com, choose Crypto.com Pay at the payment stage, scan the QR code displayed on screen using the Crypto.com app and approve the transaction. Once completed, your booking confirmation and e-ticket will appear instantly.

All payments are processed in line with UAE regulatory requirements.

A first for Emirates

The launch follows a partnership announced between them both in 2025, with both companies working to integrate cryptocurrency payments into the airline’s digital booking platform.

According to Emirates, the move is aimed at giving customers more flexibility when paying for travel while keeping up with the growing demand for digital payment options.

It also supports Dubai’s wider ambitions to become a global leader in digital finance through the Dubai Cashless Strategy, which aims for 90% of financial transactions across the public and private sectors to be digital by the end of 2026.

As cryptocurrency adoption continues to grow, Emirates joins a growing number of businesses in the UAE offering customers the option to pay using digital assets.
