What to get for the woman who has everything? A bra adorned with 4,200 precious gems set in 18-karat gold perhaps? If this sounds like the answer to your present-buying woes, you’re out of luck we’re afraid; Victoria’s Secret’s ‘Royal Fantasy Bra and Belt’ is coming to Dubai – but isn’t for sale.

Made up of rubies, diamonds, blue and yellow sapphires, all of which are set in 18 karat gold, you can see the bra – valued at $10m – in all its blinged up glory on Monday December 16 at the Dubai Mall branch of Victoria’s Secret. The highlight is a whopping pear-shaped ruby weighing in at 52 karats.

Accompanying the stunning two-piece to Dubai will be supermodel Adriana Lima. The Brazilian has been part of the Victoria’s Secret stable since 1999 and as an ‘Angel’ since 2000. She famously returned to the catwalk in 2012 just two months after giving birth to her second child. It was the fifth time she had done so for the company.

Designed by world renowned jeweler, Mouawad, it was inspired by the Dream Angels Demi silhouette. It will get a public airing on December 10 when model Candice Swanepoel features in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion show, broadcast by CBS Television Network in the USA.

According to the official fact sheet, over 4200 stones from around the world were inspected to find perfect colored, sized and shaped gems before each carefully selected stone was handset by master craftsmen.

Let’s be honest – it doesn’t look comfortable, but perhaps we’re missing the point.
