There's now a floating platform that means you can get really close to the Dubai Fountains
Well this is magical (and it only costs Dhs20)…
We love the Dubai Fountains, but they’re so popular that getting a good spot to watch them from can be tricky: the good news is that you can now get even closer to them, and for only Dhs20.
The Dubai Fountain Boardwalk has just opened: the floating viewing platform means you can walk onto the lake and see the fountains from up close.
The floating platform is a 272-metre-long boardwalk, and from it you can get only nine metres away from the fountains (and considering the water show reaches heights of 152 metres, that’s mighty close).
The new boardwalk is open from 5pm to 11pm daily, and costs just Dhs20 per person (heads up: the experience is only available for those over four, so little ones will have to stay on solid land).
It should mean the rest of the promenade around the Dubai Fountain gets less crowded too, as it’s adding a 272-metre-long space from which the iconic fountains can be viewed.

Tickets are available at the Fountain promenade, Burj Park and At The Top ticket counters, and you enter the boardwalk from the Burj Park side of the fountain. Also, if you don’t want to queue on the night, you can buy tickets in advance online at the Burj Khalifa website.
Fast fact: The Dubai Fountain is the world’s second largest choreographed fountain and it’s illuminated by 6,600 lights.
The music it has performances for includes works by Edith Piaf, Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Adele and Elissa.
