First look: New seafood restaurant Crazy Fish comes to DIFC
Fresh fish, made-to-order dishes and handpicked lobster are the catch of the day at this cool new seafood spot…
Get excited foodies, as a new seafood hotspot, Crazy Fish, is set to open in Dubai.
The second serving of the brand, which first opened in Monte Carlo in 2017, serves up fresh seafood with a Mediterranean influence from its brand new home in Al Fattan Currency House. It will open its doors from Monday, February 5.
The concept, brought to the region by entrepreneur Flavio Briatore (who is also the brains behind Billionaire Mansion), is one of two new concepts set to open in Al Fattan. The second, fine-dining steakhouse Beefbar, is opening this weekend.
Dishes on the menu include oysters, fresh prawns from Sicily, langoustine carpaccio with pink salt and Orsini’s olive oil, as well as tuna tartare, with avocado and lime. The pasta dishes on the menu range from gnocchi with red prawns to homemade trofie with seabass, lime, lemon and basil.
At Crazy Fish, there’s a big focus on simple cooking and high quality products, so you’ll only find fish sourced from fishermen in Spain or Italy.
From the fresh fish display, guests will be able to choose the freshest fish caught that very day that can be cooked to order. There will also be a lobster tank, where guests can select Mediterranean bleu lobsters, which can be cooked ‘Catalana’ style or grilled.
It’s a cool space, too. Expect funky artwork, white wash table cloths and blue leathers in an open and airy venue.
Commenting on the opening, Briatore explains: “The venue in Monte Carlo and the summer venue in Porto Cervo have proved to be a great success thanks to the restaurant concept, the excellent quality and freshness of the fish and all the ingredients. I am confident that Dubai’s demanding international clientele will appreciate and love Crazy Fish.”
