You can now use your Nol card at this government service centre
Pay for over 100 government services without using cash
Last year we reported on the AI-powered ‘Services 1’ centre that opened at Emirates Towers. Designed as a one-stop-shop for dealing with over 100 government services, everything from registering newborn babies to filing paperwork for company workers can be handled there.
The service centre has received a further upgrade with the Roads and Transport Authority announcing on Friday that visitors will now be able to pay for transactions at the centre using their Nol cards.
This is great news for anyone looking for an easy way to handle a host of government paperwork without needing to pay in cash. You’ll just need to make sure that your card is topped up with enough balance to make payment.
The ability to use a Nol card to pay for government services is currently restricted to the Services 1 centre as part of a pilot programme, but it could see expansion to other centres in the city if all goes well.

“The initiative is an important step towards realising the objective of the RTA to bring happiness to nol card users in Dubai through offering them diverse uses of the card. It is in line with the Smart City initiative of the Dubai Government envisaging the provision of advanced techniques that make it easier for people to benefit from the wide range of services they use on a daily basis.” noted Abdullah Al Madani, CEO of RTA’s Corporate Technology Support Services Sector in an official statement to the Dubai Media Office.
There has been a real push in recent months to consolidate the paying of multiple services available in Dubai through the Nol card system. This now includes, public transport (including taxis), paid parking, public park and Etihad Museum entrance fees, paying for petrol at EPPCO and ENOC stations, and purchasing goods in selected stores such as Zoom minimarts.
