Have dinner cooked for you by a chef with THREE Michelin stars
One of the world’s best chefs will bring his culinary genius to Dubai in April.
Yannick Alleno, one of an elite club to hold three Michelin stars, is taking up temporary residence at his restaurant Stay at The One&Only The Palm from April 4 to April 7.
The Frenchman will serve a set menu of his signature dishes to those lucky enough to get a table on Saturday April 5 and Sunday April 6. The four-course menu costs Dhs750 per person, while the six-course option is Dhs900.
Alleno’s expertise at his French fine dining restaurant in Dubai was recognised with two black hats in What’s On’s The Black Hat Guide.
He was awarded his third Michelin star in 2007, for his work at the five star luxury hotel Le Meurice in Paris. One of his hit dishes at Le Meurice, which he left in 2013, was crispy green ravioli with a fricassee of snails and wild garlic. Alleno is also in charge of the two-starred restaurant 1947 in the French ski resort of Courchevel and the Paris hotspot Terroir Parisien.
Alleno, 45, started his career working at his parents’ simple Paris bistro. “I was born behind the counter,” he said. In 2008 he was voted the sexiest chef in France in an internet poll. He laughed, “It made my mother so happy. She is very restrained, not very emotional. But she called me and said, ‘I’m very proud of you!’ She didn’t say that even when I got my third star.”
Alleno’s arrival in Dubai follows the news that another French Michelin-starred chef, Hélène Darroze, will take up a three-day residency at At.mopshere at the top of the Burj Khalifa from April 28 to 30. France’s top female chef works at The Connaught in London and Restaurant Hélène Darroze in Paris.
