Summer is here, and that means sadly, we’ve said goodbye to our al fresco feasting, but it’s hello to a fresh new season of indoor summer brunches. This month, we bring you a guide to Dubai’s best new indoor brunches.

Whether you’re starting the weekend early with a Thursday evening brunch, it’s a traditional Friday feast you’re after or you’re dragging out the weekend with a Saturday session, here are 21 of Dubai’s best indoor brunches.

Jazz Pizza Express

Love Parties, the party people behind the sellout Friday brunches We Brunch and Hidden, are back with a brand new brunch, and this one is on a Thursday. There’s drinks for Dhs30 from 4pm to 8pm, before the brunch packages kicks in at 8pm. Expect a typical feast of Pizza Express pizzas and sides, served up to acoustic sets. Mr. Miyagi’s

Already dominating the Friday brunch scene with their double serving of evening brunches, Mr Miyagi’s have another addition to get your Asian street food fix at. The first bites such as edamame and spring rolls are served to the table to share, then it’s help yourself to the sushi station before selecting a main and dessert from the menu. Expect a lively atmosphere, with crowd karaoke and crazy games to get the crowd going.

Brasserie 2.0

The popular, family-friendly BBQ brunch at Brasserie 2.0 has gone indoors for the summer season. The foodie affair is home to more than ten live cooking stations, a huge seafood counter and a dedicated dessert counter.

Blue Orange

Get an early start to the weekend with a seafood buffet at Pisces Kitchen at Blue Orange. Every Thursday from 6pm to 11pm, the home of the famed Bubbalicious brunch puts on an array of seafood, washed down with unlimited drinks and live music for Dhs249 with soft drinks or Dhs349 with house.

Bar Rumba

Bar Rumba, now hosts a weekly Chino Latino inspired Supper Club every Thursday. Dishes such as sushi, adobe chicken with avocado purée, glazed sweet potato and crispy calamari are served to the table, paired with wines, beers and spirits. It kicks off at 9pm, with food served until 11pm and drinks until 1am.

Via Veneto

Casual Italian eatery Via Veneto has launched a new Thursday (and Friday) evening brunch, that’s all about a winning combination – pizza and prosecco. Dishes will be served to the table, with a selection of pizzas available to choose from, alongside free flowing sparkling. Prefer a wine or beer? No problem, they’re included in the package too.

Babiole

Al Habtoor City hotspot Babiole hosts a fun Friday brunch ‘Let’s Babiole’ from its enviable location on the 44^th floor of the recently rebranded Hilton. The three-and-a-half-hour package serves up a four-course tasting menu to the table alongside unlimited drinks. On the menu, you’ll find a mix of modern European dishes, taken from the a la carte offering. Expect a lively party vibe, and don’t be surprised to find yourself dancing on the table by the time last orders are called.

The Blacksmith

The Blacksmith got off to a shaky start, closing its doors just a month after opening. But it’s back now, and serving up a meat-loving Friday brunch each week at the Wyndham Dubai Marina Hotel. The menu favours a sharing style that’s served to the table, with a big focus on meat. Starters include wings, armadillo eggs, chicken fries, while guests can face an almighty serving of 14hr smoked brisket, glazed chicken breasts, deep fried catfish and smoked lamb ribs severed with sides of BBQ beans, sweet potato mash, mac & cheese and loaded fries.

Bleu Blanc

For a classy, foodie feast, they don’t come much better than the Friday brunch at Bleu Blanc. Food is served to the table, and it’s a mix of celebrity chef David Myers’ signature dishes such as oxtail tartine, polenta croquettes and grilled king prawns served to the table. More of an upscale affair that’s all about food than a party brunch filled with entertainment, it’s an authentic taste of the South of France.

Fogo de Chão

Bringing a taste of Brazil to Dubai, Fogo de Chão recently opened its doors in DIFC’s Central Park Towers. At its Friday brunch, guests can enjoy a four-hour package of the signature churrasco experience which includes unlimited cuts of meats carved tableside by Brazilin-trained gaucho chefs. A vast assortment of sides are available at the Market Table, and it’s finished with a buffet dessert station.

Hotel Cartagena

We’re not the biggest fans of character-led restaurants (a fair few seem to have popped up across the city recently), but we’re willing to make an exception for Hotel Cartagena. The Latin American restaurant and bar, which has replaced the all too short lived Morah in the JW Marriott Marquis has just opened, and is now home to a lively weekly Friday brunch. Complete with boho vibes, signature South American dishes and 360 degree views of the city, it’s the tallest brunch there is, perched on level 72 of the Marriott Marquis.

The Lion by Nick & Scott

Formerly known as The Black Lion, this H Hotel pub now goes by the name The Lion, and has been taken over by the mastermind chefs behind Madinat Jumeirah’s folly, Nick Alvis and Scott Price. The Friday brunch was one of their first moves, and it’s a simple, a la carte offering that doesn’t try to be fancy.. Expect high quality, traditional dishes such as sausage rolls, scotch eggs and fish and chips that will satisfy any nostalgic Brit.

Luchador

The Mucha Lucha Brunch at Luchador in the Aloft Palm Jumeirah hotel combines Mexican cuisine, colourful cocktails, incredible views across the gulf, and all things ‘fiesta’. While the terrace may be closed for summer, you can still enjoy the views from the comfort of the AC. You’ll get unlimited servings of twelve Mexican favourites, including tacos, guac, ceviches and churros, plus a live band and DJ are on hand to provide toe-tapping Latin tunes.

Dim Sum Disco at Maiden Shanghai

The Dim Sum Disco powered by Candypants is the brunch that everyone wants to be at. Taking over upscale Asian restaurant Maiden Shanghai, it’s a high-end, high-energy dining experience serving a sleek a la carte offering of sharing dishes paired with an array of beverages which includes cocktails and bubbles, and an up-tempo soundtrack of vocal house and commercial tracks spun by popular Dubai DJ Adam Graca. After brunch, a ‘Drunch Disco’ offers three drinks for Dhs100 from 4pm to 6pm.

Miss Lily’s

Back by popular demand, Miss Lily’s has recently relaunched its summer Blazin’ Brunch. The intimate spot serves up a party vibe from the moment you arrive, with catch tunes sure to turn toe tapping to table dancing by the end of the afternoon. On the menu, you’ll find both breakfast style options (the pancakes are a must try), as well as more classic Miss Lily dishes such as the famous Jerk chicken and Jamaican breakfast.

Nobu

Before you get to Nobu, prepare to battle your way to the door. Not only is the swanky Japanese hotspot located in one of Dubai’s most iconic addresses, Atlantis The Palm, it’s also famous in its own right as the brainchild of one of the world’s most recognised chefs, Nobu Matsuhisa – so expect to have to fight your way past legions of tourists eager to snap a selfie by the sign outside. Once inside, guests can experience the new ‘World of Nobu’ brunch concept. It’s a collection of live stations of sushi, sashimi and cold plates, but also includes receiving a ‘passport’, which gives access to try signature Nobu dishes from different outlets around the world. Spicy chicken tacos arrive courtesy of Nobu Miami, the Nobu Full English is a signature from the London branch, and the famed black cod comes via the West Hollywood venue. PizzaExpress Live

Fans of Jazz PizzaExpress’ lively brunch Thursday (and Friday) brunch, we’ve got good news for you: the Downtown sister, PizzaExpress Live have launched their own (slightly more upscale) version. The four-hour package is priced at Dhs299 and includes sharing starters, an array of main courses on top of the usual pizza and pasta (the short ribs have got our attention) and dessert. It’s served up alongside a DJ, live music and magician.

STK

The US export that’s part steakhouse part party palace books up its Friday brunch weeks in advance at it’s JBR location, so it’s a good job they’re now running their weekly ‘Dare to Brunch’ Downtown too. The lively three-hour brunch package serves up signature STK dishes such as beef tartare alongside fancy Dubai dishes like oysters and Burrata, a choice of fillet or striploin stake for main (there’s veggie options too) with their famed mac n cheese and a choice of dessert. It’s washed down with free-flowing house beverages.
