Dubai may already have its fair share of novelty nights out, but the latest serving from Media City hotspot Mr Miyagi’s looks set to top them all.

Throwing it back to your student days, the popular Asian street food spot is combining its Hello Kitty ladies’ night with a retro silent disco, and it’s kicking off next Tuesday July 3.

The night begins at 5pm, when ladies can take advantage of three signature street food dishes and three drinks for Dhs99 in the restaurant. It’s paired with Mr Miyagi’s famous crowd karaoke, where you can belt your heart out as terribly as you like to a collection of sing-along hits.

After dinner, make your way to the dance floor next door, where the silent disco kicks off from 11pm. Whether the 80s was your era or you’re still learning the moves to the macarena, you can switch up your hits to a custom-made playlist.

Need a little more dutch courage? From 8pm, ladies are able to get their hands on three more free drinks from the bar for the silent disco. There’s a wide selection of drinks included, from wine and bubbles to classic cocktails.

They didn’t forget about the boys, either. From 4pm until 8pm there’s a two-for-one deal on ‘Thai-tanic buckets’ – those super-sized cocktails Mr Miyagi’s have become famous for, so you can warm up your vocal chords (and dance moves) twice as quick.

Already packing out its bi-weekly ladies’ night and fun-loving party brunch every Thursday and Friday, we reckon we might just move in to Mr Miyagi’s…
