You’d be forgiven for thinking that the world’s most expensive art bike – with a hefty price tag of US$2 million – would be encrusted in diamonds, or have a gold-plated frame.

In reality, the Cosmic Star-Cruiser looks much more colourful than that. The hand painted one-of-a-kind luxury art piece by Jack Armstrong –  an old friend of Andy Warhol’s – was revealed today as part of the mass unveiling at the Big Boys Toys press conference, and will be on display at the main exhibition taking place from October 3-5 at Skydive Dubai.

An altogether different two-wheeler was also unveiled at the preview event – the Triumph Rocket III Roadstar. Powered by a hefty 2300cc engine, this menacing machine is the world’s most powerful bike and valued at just under Dhs85,000.

For those who prefer their toys with four-wheels, or more, there’s the Rage Comet – an off-road buggy that’s capable of accelerating from 0-100kmh in three seconds, or how about a gigantic 18-seater Mercedes Bens 18-seater limousine complete with strobes, optical lighting and lasers?

But probably the most innovative of the lot is the debut of VGo – a new machine that allows people to be present anywhere from anywhere by using a robotic device that you can control remotely. Think Skype on wheels.

Specialising in showing off the never-before-seen, last year’s show attracted more than 40,000 visitors and an additional 24 exhibitors on the previous year. One of the highlights of the show was a fully operating vehicle that mirrored those in hit movie Tron, known as the Xenon Lightcycle. Also featured were a converted Rolls Royce with DJ box and bar attached.

Already confirmed to feature at the three-day showcase are Triton Submarines, creators of the world’s deepest diving submersible, Jetovator, a flying jetski, Swiss military watch-makers and countless other sleek innovations, each fitting into one of the following categories: adventure, aviation, digital, drive, fashion, lifestyle, marine, off-road, ride and wellness.

The highlight for visitors at last year’s was the world’s first supercar test drive pit, a feature that will return this time around. The following cars will be on show: Lamborghini Aventador, Lamborghini Gallardo, Ferrari Spider Italia, Ferrari Spider, Bentley, Chevrolet Corvette CR7, Audi R8, Nissan GTR, Porsche Carrera 911, Merecedes SLS, A5 AMG Convertible, Mercedes G63, Mclaren MP4.
