Amusing footage has been uploaded featuring the Batmobile parked on Sheikh Zayed Road.

Dubai is no stranger to outrageous supercars pounding the roads of our fair urban jungle, but there’s one car that’s now trumped the lot – the Batmobile.

Amusing footage was uploaded earlier this weekend of a replica of the armoured fighting motor vehicle – known as the Tumbler – parked up on the slip road off Sheikh Zayed Road alongside a selection of expensive vehicles including Ferraris, Aston Martins and Bentleys.

During the 17-second clip you can hear the commenter nonchalantly rattle off the names of luxury cars parked up before exclaiming “Boom! The Batmobile.”

Powered by a Chevrolet Corvette v8 5.7 litre petrol engine, it is said to produce over 500 horsepower, go from 0-99km per hour in less than six seconds and can hit 340 kilometres an hour.

While definitely in a league of its own, the Batmobile shares the roads with other impressive supercars – many of which are owned by the Dubai Police .

Since April 2013, the police have built a luxurious collection of police supercars which has succeeded in receiving media attention worldwide.

Officers are now getting behind the wheels of some of the fastest and most prestigious cars in the world including the Audi R8, Bugatti Veyron, Ferrari FF and Lamborghini Aventador.
