The Hot House

It’s a favourite of Abu Dhabi yoga fans. A sweaty session of Bikram Yoga here will see you practicing a series of 26 postures in a heated room. Classes typically last for 90 minutes, however one-hour express sessions are also taught.

The Room

You won’t see any imposing reformer machines (aka torture contraptions) at this non-traditional gym. Instead, you can test out some core strengthening moves in one of the mat-based pilates classes on offer in the Balance Room.

Bodytree Studio

The second edition of this annual yoga market will see the studio run back-to-back yoga sessions throughout the day, as well as host a market with vendors selling yoga clothing, crystals, aromatherapy oils and more. There will also be a 90-minute master class from visiting instructor Andrea Marcum.

Let’s Go Yoga

Switch up your typical sun salutations with a yoga session powered by Brazilian drumbeats. This 75-minute session will see guests perform a sequence of moves specifically tailored to the rhythmic drumming from drummer and capoeira teacher Alex Filadelfo.

Desert Islands Resort & Spa

Practice the ancient art of T’ai Chi with a complimentary class on Sir Bani Yas Island. The meditative Chinese martial art form uses slow, flowing movements paired with breathing exercises to help reduce stress and improve overall health. While these classes are only reserved for hotel guests, fans of the practice here in the city can check out the Abu Dhabi Tai Chi Society on facebook to find like-minded individuals and potential teachers.
