Dutch megastar is set to be the main attraction at the first DXBeach of 2016.

Tijs Michiel Verwest – otherwise known as the megastar Dutch DJ Tiësto – is taking a break from his regular spot in Las Vegas’ Hakkasan and jetting to Dubai to headline DXBeach on February 26, 2016.

He’ll be playing down on the sand to thousands at DXBeach, a 15-hour outdoor music festival that has previously welcomed the likes of Mark Ronson, Jess Glynne, Danny Howard and multi-talented actor/DJ Idris Elba to its stage.

Tiësto’s latest hits include his 2014 Wasted featuring Matthew Korma, and his mix of John Legend’s All of Me, which won him a Grammy award this year.

For those who might not know, (where have you been?), Tiësto is one of the biggest names in electronic dance music. His sets have drawn in crowds for decades, but his fame truly rocketed in 2000 when he released his mix of Delerium’s Silence, featuring Sarah McLachlan, which was quickly followed by his inaugural solo album In My Memory.

The DJ and record producer has racked up a deck-load of awards, having been named the world’s best DJ several times over, and has collaborated with huge stars, including Kanye West, Katy Perry and Coldplay.

He’s also a man of ‘firsts’ – he was apparently the first DJ to perform solo to a stadium crowd, without any supporting acts, and the first DJ to play live at the Olympic Games, in Athens in 2004.

Watch this space for more acts to be announced for the infamous Zero Gravity beach, garden and poolside party.
