Party In The Park
Party In The Park will return on November 10 this year!
Oasis frontman and renowned Britpop badboy Liam Gallagher will take to the stage for this year’s Party in the Park, which returns to Dubai Media City Amphitheatre on Friday 10 November.
He will be joined by none other than UK electronica legends The Chemical Brothers, performing a very special DJ set that will span the length and breadth of their illustrious career (you can buy tickets here).
Gallagher will be coming in hot off the October release of his debut solo album As You Were, which is named in honour of the sign-off the singer typically uses on his Twitter account.
But Oasis fans should take note as 50 per cent of his set will be filled with the Mancunian band’s classics. So expect earnest sing-a-longs aplenty to the likes of Live Forever, Champagne Supernova and Wonderwall.
THE CHEMICAL BROTHERS
The Mancunian duo of Tom Rowlands and Ed Simons started from humble beginnings in 1989 and rose to prominence in the 1990s alongside contemporaries The Prodigy and Fatboy Slim to reshape popular music, helping bring big beat and electronica to the mainstream.
They’ve since gone on to nab six number one albums in the UK, and 13 top 20 singles, plus they’ve netted no less than four Grammy awards including ‘Best Dance/Electronic Album’ for their 2006 record Push the Button.
The hugely successful party last year saw more than 10,000 of the coolest cats in the city soak up the action at the all-day, ground-breaking music and food festival at Dubai Media City.
The beloved Hype clubhouse will be resurrected once again, promising a selection of the city’s favourite DJs hitting the decks all night long.
It’s not just music on offer though – there’ll also be plenty of food and drink spots, and cool local companies selling their wares, as per usual.
Here’s what the party looked like last year…
Tickets on sale at 9am on August 9th.
