FIRST IMPRESSIONS
Wow, what a view. The terrace windows are a picture frame for the Creek, shiny yachts, less shiny dhows, the Burj Khalifa and Emirates Towers.

VIBE
Quite a sparse and simple restaurant, bright and airy.

WHAT TO ORDER
Agnolotti pasta filled with braised beef in a sage butter sauce was hearty, but simple and light. The crème brulee foam dessert was a feat of chemistry.

LOOK OUT FOR
The gorgonzola ice cream that comes with the radicchio, beetroot and walnut salad. Sounds weird, tastes great.

IDEAL FOR
A casual lunch with a view – good for showing Dubai to visitors.

INSIDER INFO
A Dubai institution since it opened in 1978, the Sheraton had a massive Dhs180m refurbishment this spring.
