Parking at Dubai Harbour is now cashless and paid through Salik
Drivers visiting Dubai Harbour can now pay for parking automatically through their Salik account
If you’re heading to Dubai Harbour, parking has just become a little easier.
A new cashless parking system has gone live at Dubai Harbour’s Harbour West Car Park, allowing motorists to pay automatically using their existing Salik account. The new service is part of Salik’s continued expansion into digital payment services beyond road tolls.
The Harbour West Car Park offers 845 parking spaces across nine levels, including rooftop parking. It’s expected to make parking more convenient for visitors to Dubai Harbour, as well as those visiting nearby areas including Dubai Marina, Marina Walk, Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR), Dubai Media City and Dubai Internet City.
How does it work?
There’s no need to stop at a payment machine or collect a ticket.
The car park uses automatic number plate recognition technology linked to Salik accounts, meaning parking fees are charged directly to your Salik account when you leave. The system is powered through a partnership with parking technology company Parkonic.
How much does it cost?
Parking at Harbour West Car Park costs Dhs10 per hour, with part-hours charged as a full hour.
Visitors who spend Dhs150 or more at participating retailers and validate their digital receipt can receive one hour of free parking. Monthly parking packages are also available.
New bridge to Dubai Harbour now open
Dubai Harbour recently got a major traffic upgrade by cutting cutting travel times from 12 minutes to just 3 minutes. The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has opened a new bridge connecting Sheikh Zayed Road directly to Dubai Harbour.
The bridge officially opened on Friday, June 19, and forms part of a wider infrastructure project designed to improve traffic flow and support Dubai’s continued growth.
The new bridge provides direct access for motorists travelling from both Jebel Ali and Deira. With two lanes in each direction, the bridge can accommodate up to 6,000 vehicles per hour, helping ease congestion in one of Dubai’s busiest waterfront districts.
