Features of the new project will include an approximate total investment of $1.4 billion in the resort expansion and amenities.

Sheikh Mohammed and the ICD also confirmed a number of other projects taking place over the coming three years, including One Za’abeel. Located between the Dubai World Trade Centre and Za’abeel Park, it will consist of two towers (residential and commercial) linked by a suspended bridge.

The ICD also confirmed that the first phase of a Dhs8 billion Dubai Waterfront mixed-use project is on track for completion by the end of 2016.
