Let What’s On show you the way to a brand new bar in JLT.

Amarillo Tapastry Bar (see what we did there?), as you might not be surprised to hear, comes with heavy Spanish and Latin American influence, from the food and drink to the style. And we were first to check it out ahead of launch night on Tuesday January 27.

Light colours give the indoor venue an airy feel, while there is plenty of personality in the decor, which includes a pearl mosaic floor and stag emblems. The majority of the venue is open plan, but smaller groups can benefit from a selection of more private booths.

Located on Lake Level of the Pullman Dubai Hotel in Cluster T, the new nightspot wants to be ‘a funky alternative’ to other after-work nightspots, and has pulled in Mexican house DJ Michelle Love – who has shared a stage with Steve Aoki, Tiesto, Markus Shultz and Ruben Le Ronde – to give proceedings a bit of atmosphere.

As the name further eludes to, the menu, which is to be confirmed in the coming weeks, will be tapas-focussed (‘tapestry’, you see, should actually be spelled with an ‘e’). The team behind it are confident this particular will become of the things best loved the venue.

The venue will be open from 6pm to 3am every day, with reservations available by calling: 04 5671100.

The Pullman Dubai Hotel only opened on January 1 and expects to be fully operational by the start of next month. As well as Amarillo, it features a terrace lounge (La Vue), Italian specialty restaurant (Manzoni), and rooftop poolside bar. There is also a spa and 354 rooms across 35 floors.
