What’s On has the guide of things to do in Abu Dhabi in April, including Robbie Williams, guide to watersports and best sushi in Abu Dhabi.

Sandstorms and muggy weather may not inspire you to head outside right this minute, but a look at this month’s What’s On Abu Dhabi certainly should. We’ve got all the details about watersports in the capital, from the weird and wacky (flyboarding anyone?) to the more relaxing (yoga on a surfboard people), there is a little bit of everything for those looking to dip their toes into something new.

And if all that activity has worked up your appetite check out the month’s special spotlight on Japanese cuisine. Raw, cooked or in-between, this food is as interesting as it is delicious. We’ve highlighted some of our favourite locations serving up delicious dishes, learned the etiquette to eating with chopsticks and even got insider tips from the pros who make sushi for a living.

If you’d like to be entertained – then look no further than Robbie Williams upcoming gig at du Arena. Seriously, that’s his tagline. Performing on Saturday April 25 the original boy-band bad boy (sorry Zayn) is expected to perform a selection of hits from his career including Rock DJ, Radio, Let Me Entertain You and No Regrets.

For readers who enjoy downing raw egg yolks for breakfast – you know, just because you can – then be sure to check out the amazingly intense and athletic feats taking place in the capital. The Abu Dhabi World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championship, the Desert Warrior Challenge and the Wadi Adventure Race in Al Ain all take place this month and will see global competitors from around the world take part. Expect hand-to-hand combat, sadistic obstacle courses and plenty of running.

Speaking of torture, What’s On wasn’t spared when they tested out a oil pouring spa treatment. And yes, a strange contraption was involved. We won’t spill the beans on our verdict here; you’ll have to pick up the latest copy to find out what happened.
