The final lineup for the Mubadala World Tennis Championship has been announced. Frenchman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and South African Kevin Anderson will round out the contenders for this year’s tournament, which takes place from December 31 to January 2, 2016 at Zayed Sports City.

Other players already confirmed for the event include fourteen-time Grand Slam champion Rafael Nadal, reigning French Open champion Stan Wawrinka and ATP World Tour top ten stars Milos Raonic and David Ferrer. In addition to bragging rights, the victor will pocket a prize pot of over Dhs900,000.

Tsonga, the current world number 10, said “Abu Dhabi is a tournament which can kick start my season right from the beginning so I’m excited for the challenge. I’m looking forward to getting back to the UAE capital and seeing the fans again. It’s looking like another exciting year of tennis for the UAE crowds and what better way for them to celebrate the New Year.”

Tennis pro Kevin Anderson, who will be making his debut in the capital at the tournament, is currently ranked number 12 in he world. The 29-year-old had risen in the ATP rankings after beating Andy Murray in the quarterfinals of the US Open earlier this year.

“I’ve heard a lot about the Mubadala World Tennis Championship and seen that it’s a great place for players to start the season with top competition,” added Anderson. “The lineup is really strong, really competitive and to go head to head with the likes of Milos, Rafa, Stan, Kevin and David is the best way to get up to speed for the season. I’ll be hoping to see some South African flags out there giving me support.”
