Tennis star Andy Murray just confirmed he’ll be attending the upcoming Mubadala World Tennis Championship in the best way.

After a 13-year-old Emirati tennis fan Hassan Al Nowais posted a note asking Murray to come play in the capital, the World No 2 responded in kind.

The current Wimbledon Champion (and previous two-time winner of the Mubadala Championship) said, “There is clearly a new and young tennis community growing in Abu Dhabi and I’m touched Hassan asked if I was coming back. I’m looking forward to returning to this great tournament.”

For his part, Hassan didn’t skip a beat. “I’m very excited Andy replied to my message and will come back to Abu Dhabi. I love this tournament and the game of tennis, and my friends and I will be there to cheer him and the other players on.”

Also confirmed to attend is Milos Raonic, who Murray defeated earlier this year during Wimbledon. Meaning a rematch may be in the works.

The ninth edition of the tournament will be held from December 29 to 31 at the International Tennis Complex at Zayed Sports City and sees elite tennis stars compete in a winner-takes-all format. Meaning the overall winner will walk away with the $250,000 prize money.
