Skydiving, boat trips and more, this man knows how to visit this city…

Legendary actor Will Smith is back in Dubai again, and it looks like he’s having an amazing time again.

The 48-year-old actor shared the above snap of a cruise around Dubai’s waters yesterday, and also posted a video of his latest Skydive Dubai experience. The latter has had more than 3 million views in just a dozen hours.

The actor told us last year that he’s jumped at Skydive Dubai more than five times, so this is likely to be his sixth jump:

Smith also visited North Africa this month, stopping by Egypt and Morocco. In Morocco he took some colourful snaps with famous photographer Hassan Hajjaj: “Morocco is the TRUTH!” he captioned one of them.

WILL SMITH ON DUBAI

“Dubai dreams the way I dream, when I landed I was like, ‘that’s how I would build a city if I was making a city’,” Smith told us when in Dubai last year to promote Suicide Squad.

“You never know why a city speaks to you… it’s just the energy of progress here.”

In fact, he loves the region and city so much, he might actually film a movie here: “I’ve had a couple of ideas, a couple of film concepts that came through. I’ve met with the [Dubai] Film Commission a few times. I love it here and I’d love to be a part of the mining of stories from this region.

“A big part of America and the impression of America from the 1940s that was sent out to the world was Hollywood. Hollywood was the picture of America. So for me when I come to the Middle East and I’m so inspired by the beauty and the culture, it is not represented in world cinema. So I’ve spoken to many members of the community about getting the children and the filmmakers of the region into the global stream. It’s a wonderful opportunity that I’d love to be a part of.

“The Middle East can’t allow Fox News to be the arbiter of its imagery. Cinema is a huge way to be able to deliver the truth of the soul of a place to a global audience.”

WILL SMITH’S OTHER CITY VISITS

The actor is no stranger to the city – in December 2013 he made an impromptu appearance alongside DJ mate Jazzy Jeff at Barasti, in which he rattled off a small collection of classics, including Gettin’ Jiggy Wit It, for the awestruck crowd.

In January 2014 he was spotted skydiving in the city and hanging out with actor Tyrese, and in October 2015 year he came to Dubai for a romantic break with his wife of 19 years Jada Pinkett Smith.

There have also been numerous sightings of The Pursuit Of Happiness star over the past years at restaurants around town, among them Toku and The Act.

It appears that, like us, Will Smith loves Dubai.
