Don’t worry if you missed out, a limited number of additional tickets will go on sale tomorrow…

It looks like Dubai is sweet on Ed Sheeran, as earlier today the organisers behind the British singer/songwriter’s highly anticipated return to Dubai, 117Live released a statement announcing that pre-sale tickets across all categories had completely sold out.

After an unprecedented level of demand that shattered all of 117Live’s previous ticket sale records, the company’s CEO, Thomas Ovsen, had this to say: “In my 17 years of staging shows in the Middle East I have never seen such a fantastic pre registration result for any show nor the unprecedented pre sale numbers we have experienced today.”

According to posts on social media when the pre-sale went live yesterday, many fans struggled to secure tickets via the Dubai Calendar app, which was the chosen method of distribution. We know now that this is most likely due to the sheer (if you’ll pardon the pun) volume of traffic that must have been hitting the app from eager fans.

If you were unlucky enough to miss out, there’s still hope. 117Live have announced that a very limited number of additional tickets will go on sale to the general public from Thursday May 11 at 10am.

The additional tickets will be available for purchase directly from 117Live’s website (and NOT the Dubai Calendar app) which should hopefully mean there will be less technical difficulties.

Ed Sheeran is scheduled to perform on November 23 2017 at the Autism Rocks Arena near Dubai Outlet Mall.
