She’s in town to promote her new book How to be a Bawse

Do you follow the antics of IISuperwomanII online? Because her nearly 11 and a half million strong YouTube subscriber base would indicate that there’s a chance that you do.

Lilly Singh is the 28-year-old Indian-Canadian entertainer and comedian behind the popular YouTube persona, and she will be at the Habtoor Grand Beach Resort in JBR on May 10 to promote her first book entitled How to be a Bawse.

While the irony of a YouTube star promoting a physical paperback (shouldn’t it at least be an e-book?) is not lost on us, her videos have received over 1.8 billion views, with Forbes ranking her 3rd on a list of the world’s highest paid YouTube stars.

Certainly she’ll have more than a couple of interesting things to say about her online success.

Published by Ballantine Books, How to be a Bawse (subtitled ‘a guide to conquering life’) chronicles Lilly’s life with funny and honest anecdotes and an underlying message of encouragement, positivity and confidence.

Tickets start at Dhs295, with a ‘Meet and Greet’ option available for superfans, and are available via PlatinumList.
