The alt-folk band join Pink and Calvin Harris on the bill, with just one more headline act for race weekend left to be announced

British rock group Mumford And Sons will perform at Abu Dhabi’s Yasalam after-race concerts on November 25.

The news was announced this morning by organisers Flash Entertainment, after days of speculation, not to mention a few emoji clues as to the identity of the third headliner for race weekend.

The British four-piece formed a decade ago and have amassed several awards including two Brit awards and an album of the year Grammy for their 2012 release, Babel. The album remains the fastest selling rock album of the decade.

Their folky, alternative sound has seen them win many plaudits and awards throughout their career. Their 2009 album Sigh No More won them a Brit in the UK and they were also crowned Best British Group at the Brits in 2013. In 2014, they walked away with an International Achievement gong at the prestigious Ivor Novello songwriting awards.

If you’re not a fan already, then we suggest you download those two albums mentioned above – 2009’s multi-award winning debut Sigh No More and 2012’s Babel. Both shifted more than three million copies each in the US alone. Check out their 2012 hit I Will Wait, one of their biggest, below.

So that leaves one headliner left to announce – and we’re told you can expect to find out in mid-October. Check out the November edition of What’s On Abu Dhabi for a full preview of all the concerts taking place over F1 weekend in the capital.
