Sunday October 29

1. Test your balance with a free float class

FloatUAE is offering Downtown residents the chance to try out a float class. It’s an individual training platform creating a new, fun way to train on water. Sessions involve a HIIT workout, incorporating all exercises that are commonly used in the gym – including squats, jumps and burpees. It will take place at Fitness First Downtown and classes are free and open to all ages.

2. Head to a ladies’ night that comes with dinner too

For a discounted night out with girlfriends, The Rib Room at both Jumeirah Zabeel Saray and Emirates Towers does a tasty ladies’ night menu of food and drink every Sunday. From 6pm to 11pm, ladies can take advantage of a three-course set menu and unlimited beverages from a selection for Dhs130.

Monday October 30

3. Head to a brand new outdoor cinema

The Cinema at Le Royal Meridien Beach Resort and Spa Dubai will be showing classic films in an open air setting, complete with a private bar and cinema snacks menu. It’s free entry to the 8pm movie screening, or you can dine beforehand at one of Le Royal Meridien’s restaurants; Maya, Geales, Zengo, Al Khaima or Rhodes Twenty10. There’s a pre-cinema menu of two courses and a cocktail for Dhs120, or three courses and a cocktail for Dhs150. This Monday, they’re showing The Graduate.

4. Tuck into unlimited seafood for Dhs249

Every Monday, Zero Gravity turns its garden into a seafood bazaar, serving unlimited fish, seafood dishes and free-flowing beverages from 7pm to 11pm for Dhs249 per person. It’s all washed down with live music from Mike Ross and Clarita De Quiroz.

5. See a rising star at a super club

Super club White Dubai is hosting a #DisturbingHalloween party tonight, marking the one-off return of Dubai’s “ultimate ladies’ night”, DisturbingDubai. They’re bringing over international artists Yungen, Kelli-Leigh and Yxng Bane, and there will be a free open bar for ladies all night, as well as complimentary sushi until 12.30am.

6. Watch a Halloween film from the water

Bash events are teaming up with the newly launched Coco on 8 at Media One Hotel for a Halloween film screening with a twist. The Miami-inspired pool lounge will be showing Scream from 8pm at their dive-in movie theatre, where guests can watch the movie from the comfort of a pool inflatable. For those who’d rather stay on dry land, you can also request a cabana. There’s a complimentary cocktail and popcorn on arrival too.

7. See an art exhibition

Kate Toledo, a Dubai-based artist with a vibrant global heritage, is launching her 4th solo exhibition entitled The Portuguese Collection: A retrospective on Portuguese history through modern travels at ProArt gallery on Jumeirah Beach Road. The exhibition will showcase the musings and inspiration Toledo has realised through more than a dozen canvas works and her signature three silk scarves.

8. Catch two back-to-back surf films

Joe and Sons are back with more cinematic surf escapism with a Deus Double Movie Night. They’ll be showing the Middle East Premiere of two new short films from The Temple Of Enthusiasm, Deus Bali. The short films, Blackboy and A Week Up West will be coupled with Mexican street food and a chance to browse the FW17 collection from Deus Ex Machina.
