Deliveroo has set up a delivery-only kitchen with 10 restaurants inside
Deliveroo Editions will bring a host of fresh delivery options to several neighbourhoods…
A brand new concept by food delivery service Deliveroo has just launched in Dubai.
Deliveroo Editions is a custom-built space in Jumeirah Lakes Towers Cluster Y, where ten different restaurants will operate from.
This concept kitchen shifts the focus from restaurant-based dining to delivery. Each restaurant will service the JLT, Dubai Marina, JBR, Palm, Media City, Internet City, Barsha Heights and JVT areas, without needing to have their own venue.
Fraiche Cafe, which previously occupied the JLT site, is one of the participating brands, along with its two sister concepts, the all-vegan Hippy Deli and Dip Street, a six-item sandwich menu that comes with special dipping sauces.
Other brands joining include healthy food options Pineapple Express, Joga, Wholly Bowl’s and pizza joint Pinza. Pinza’s sister company for health-conscious foodies, BR8 Kitchen, will also be on offer.
Completing the kitchen is American bakery Clinton Street Baking Company and London concept, Burger and Lobster.
All restaurants will operate to different timings, but will share the kitchen space at the JLT spot.
“The Editions concept makes good on our promise to widen access to the best food in Dubai, reducing delivery times for customers while at the same time helping our partners to grow their presence in the market,” Deliveroo GCC general manager Anis Harb said.
There are already plans for a second site in Dubai in 2018, although a location has not been confirmed.
Customers are now able to order from one of the eight restaurants in the kitchen using the Deliveroo app.
