This has to be one of our favourite weekends on the calendar. Not only is it the return of our favourite concert Party in the Park (if you still haven’t got your tickets grab them quick here), but we’re back outside beachside brunching, participating in al fresco fitness, heading to an outdoor market and a LobsterFest.

Thursday November 9

1. Head to a trivia night with Gordon Ramsay

Following its recent launch, Bread Street Kitchen’s Trivia Night will welcome a very special host this Thursday as Gordon Ramsay makes his return. Taking place in the garden and restaurant, teams of between four and 10 guests are invited to an evening of British-themed questions, Gordon-related trivia and live music throughout the evening. 2. Drink for Dhs10 at the Sheraton Grand

Fuze at Dawn & Dusk has a new drinks deal on Thursday which offers selected drinks for Dhs10 from 8pm to 10pm. The bar at the Sheraton Grand Hotel is one of the emirate’s highest rooftop bars, and as well as drinks deals and a BBQ bites menu, comes complete with views of the city’s record-breaking skyline.

3. Get raving with Ravelations

UAE-based psychedelic music portal and internationally renowned psytrance production, Ravelations, brings to a close its 10th anniversary celebrations with legendary progressive psytrance artist Atmos, aka Tomasz Balicki, at Bridgewater Tavern.

4. Dine al fresco at a boat show

The Dubai Pre-Owned Boat Show returns to the Dubai Creek Marina from Wednesday to Saturday, with the introduction of a LobsterFest where guests can load up on a variety of tasty lobster dishes from just Dhs45. There will also be a host of new family-friendly activities, including games, balloon activities, face painting, arts & crafts workshops, soft play areas, bouncy castles and a petting zoo.

5. Head to a Party in the Park warm-up

Dubai-based Oasis tribute band Faux-Asis is holding a free show at Scarlet Cardinal in the Sofitel JBR as a warm-up for Liam Gallagher who’ll be headlining our favourite Party in the Park. From 10pm, the band will be covering a range of Oasis hits.

Friday November 10

6. Battle it out in the F45 championships

One of the world’s most innovative fitness championships, F45, is coming to Barasti Beach this Friday. Focusing on speed, strength, agility, endurance, mobility and power, it’s a 10 exercise, 10 minute challenge that includes rowing, bench hop, burpees and sprints. There’s Dhs5000 up for grabs for the winners (Dhs2500 for both the male and female winner).

7. Party in the Park

Oasis frontman and renowned Brit pop bad boy Liam Gallagher will take to the stage for this year’s Party in the Park, which returns to Dubai Media City Amphitheatre. He will be joined by none other than UK electronica legends The Chemical Brothers, performing a very special DJ set. It will be followed by the official Indie after-party at ON42 hosted by Step On.

8. Brunch by the beach (sort of)

Reform will play host to a monthly festival-style brunch on the lakeside, with all things inspired by Brighton Beach starting this Friday. Take a trip down memory lane and indulge in fish and chips with mushy peas served in newspaper, shell on prawns, doughnuts, ice cream, and classic British BBQ dishes. It comes with three hours of free-flowing drinks.

9. Celebrate a new season by The Beach

The Beach JBR is hosting two days of activities, from a picnic to a wide selection of beach games, where guests will be able to feel the sand back between their toes while enjoying the cooler weather. There will be three interactive zones; Taste, Enjoy and Play where beachgoers can revel in a variety of activities to carry them through the weekend.

10. Experience a Yoga Retreat with Dina Ghandour

Anantara The Palm is running a day-long retreat programme with certified yoga instructor, Dina Ghandour. There will be a 90-minute energising yoga class, three-course healthy lunch at The Beach House, complimentary use of the spa facilities and beach access, a choice of a 60-minute Hammam or a relaxing full body massage and 60-minute meditative and restorative Yoga class. 11. Meet and mingle with fellow parents

There’s a new series of Practically Parenting workshops taking place in collaboration with The Mothership to create a forum for parents to meet, mingle and share parenting tips in Dubai. Each session will focus on a different topic, from health and safety to nutrition.

12. Spend Saturday morning at a sunrise market

Every Saturday, The Sum Of Us is serving up a sunrise market from their front doorstep. The morning market will play host to an array of local arts and craft vendors, with Dubai Garden Centre taking the top table alongside other brands. There will also be baked treats from Rise&Dawn Bakehouse and Encounter Coffee, and the super early risers will be able to enjoy a free fitness class before the market at 7am, which you can sign up for here.

13. Run the happiest 5km on the planet

Considered the largest running series in the world, the Colour Run returns to the UAE this Saturday. Dubbed the “happiest 5km on the planet”, colour runners can look forward to even more fun this year with a new foam zone, where foam clouds will cover all those who take part. Runners will be covered from head to toe in an array of colours in the colour zones along the 5km, untimed route. Along the course, participants can show their aspirations on the dream wall, snap selfies with giant unicorns, and enjoy the ultimate colour party with family and friends at the finish festival.

14. Recover from Sensation with a brunch deal

Heading to Sensation this year? Then you’ll want to know about Sensation Afterglow at Club Vista Mare. The official closing event will take place at Club Vista Mare from 12pm, with each of the seven restaurants offering a special brunch menu for that day. Expect an evening of music and sundowners with live entertainment from Sensation’s very own Mr. White, who has been travelling the world alongside Sensation for several years. Two DJs from Tomorrowland – Barry Fore and Robert Falcon – will also be playing live.

15. Take part in a Dubai scavenger hunt

Want to see the city in a fun new way? Local tour guides Emirati Kashtas are organising the ‘Ultimate Scavenger Hunt Challenge’ this Saturday, covering cool places like Boxpark, City Walk, Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood, and Dubai Creek. There are some great prizes up for grabs from IMG World, Despresso, Al Bait Al Qadeem restaurant, and more.
