A 70th floor rooftop bar, aerial performances above the tables and two separate restaurants… could Dolce Sky be Dubai’s most wow-worthy new opening?

A like-no-other concept is coming to Downtown Dubai’s Address Boulevard Hotel called Dolce Sky.

Dolce Sky, which will occupy the hotel’s 70th and 71st floor, will be home to a bar, outdoor rooftop terraces (tough for those scared of heights), French restaurant La Vie, Japanese spot Takumi and Ellecti Lounge, a private, members-only space.

Look at the aerial act above the table – that is next level.

It’s set to open sometime in 2018, but an exact date is still not confirmed.

The day-to-night dining complex will be open for brunch, lunch, dinner and late night partying. And while we don’t know too much at this early stage, first look renders show floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Downtown Dubai, so we’re expecting pretty epic skyline views.

There also looks to be a glass stage housing a grand piano above diners, and aerial performers who could double up as waiters (see the picture above this). That would certainly take service to new heights.

La Vie will serve French fine-dining food, with chef Jerome Lagarde at the helm. It will offer a unique afternoon tea experience, a rooftop terrace and come complete with a ‘floating kitchen’ (we’ll bring you more on what that means when we actually know)!

Takumi, will be the latest opening by acclaimed chef Hide Yamamoto, who already has restaurants in Singapore, Macau, Hong Kong, Manila and Japan. It will feature a duplex open-plan kitchen in the centre, a sushi bar and the region’s first Sake lounge.

The team behind Dolce Sky, Dolce Management, is also set to open another restaurant, CEZ, this December in the Address Hotel Dubai Mall.

We can expect dishes inspired by Chef Jerome’s travels, with Asian, French and Italian influences, as well as a selection of pastries and desserts.
