Move over, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle: A member of Dubai’s royal family is set to tie the knot.

Sheikha Maryam bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum recently got engaged to Suhail bin Ahmed bin Juma Al Maktoum, according to well wishes posted to social media.

The daughter of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, vice president of the UAE and ruler of Dubai, was widely congratulated by members of the ruling family.

Sheikh Mohammed’s sister, Sheikha Fatima bint Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, shared a poem in celebration of the happy news.

يوم البدر بان و تلاقـــى مـع سـهـيـل  أجمل كواكب في سما العز أحـبـاب يا سهيل فالك مزن من وسمي السيل  والله عطاك من الحسن تاج الأنساب يا سهــيل في يمناك مـهــرٍ مـن الخيــــل  في كل ميدانٍ  على الطيـب كسّــــاب مبـروك يـا مـريم و مبـروك يـا سـهـيـل  وعسى الفرح بأيامكم سعد وارحاب و سهيل له عندي مـعـزه  و تـبـجـيـل  داريـــه يــا مـريم مــداراة الأهــــــداب قصـــــائدي غـنـت لكم بالمـواويــــل  إنتـم جمعتوا للفــرح كـل لأسبـــاب❤️???

A special logo was also created in honour of the occasion, intertwining the names of Sheikha Maryam and Suhail bin Ahmed bin Juma Al Maktoum.

Sheikha Maryam is a keen equestrian, and made headlines earlier this year when videos surfaced showing the royal and her sister, Sheikha Maitha bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, “horse surfing” on a beach near the Burj Al Arab.
