There are some major DJs taking to the decks in Dubai this week…

Whatever you’re looking for this week, there’s a club night for your mood. From circus acts and open format music Downtown, to a weekly urban night in JBR, and international DJs taking over super clubs across the city, from White to Blue Marlin – it’s a big week ahead.

Here are six big nights out in Dubai this week

Wednesday: Black Tape at Cirque Le Soir

Black Tape is a weekly club night with a difference. Taking over Cirque Le Soir every Wednesday It promises open format music from Tim Kay and DJ Stylez, as well as the usual show from the club’s rotating performers. It also welcomes the return of Boom Boom, one of their most popular show stars.

Thursday: Deep Like Thursdayz at The Backyard

Deep Like Thursdayz takes over the new-look Backyard at the Steigenberger hotel every Thursday, and this week they’re set to welcome, Hyenah, the mysterious artist hiding behind a mask for the second time. His sets are all about groovy, African tainted beats and the annoymous artist has thus far delivered two cutting edge, raw and African inspired Ep’s for Freerange Records. He’ll be supported by Dario Dea and residents Jason Pinto & Sam Farsio.

Thursday: Naughty by Nature at Inner City Zoo

This weekly urban night takes over the glamourous JBR party spot Inner City Zoo every Thursday. With a mix of R’n’B, garage, basement, and old school hip hop, resident DJ Flipside offers up an open format urban night playing hits from Tupac and Biggie to Jay-Z and Kendrick.

Friday: HYVE presents Claptone at White Dubai

White Dubai might be famed for its international artists and epic ladies’ night, but there new house night, HYVE is putting the venue on the map with a brand new crowd. This Friday, they’ll be welcoming Claptone, one of the best loved house DJs of the moment, as White Dubai hosts DJ MAG’s official UAE party this Friday. Claptone has headlined some of dance music’s most prolific events including Elrow in Ibiza, Tomorrowland in Belgium, and Street Parade in Switzerland.

Friday: Ritual presents Sebastien Leger at Zero Gravity

Zero Gravity is set to host renowned French house DJ and producer Sébastien Léger on Friday January 19 as he headlines their recently launched Ritual Brunch. Sébastien makes and plays House to Techno, mostly groovy, funky and melodic tunes as well as soul from small intimate rooms to massive gigantic dancefloors. His singles “Hit Girl”, “Hypnotized” and “Aqualight” have become hit dance singles played in clubs across Europe. The Ritual brunch experience includes a silent rave to a life-size interactive pin art installation, infinity mirror walls to aroma tee pees and edible bubbles with unusual flavours to awaken your taste buds. Friday: Darius Syrossian and DJ Sabb at Blue Marlin

It’s a big weekend across the city, and Blue Marlin is adding to that line up with two big house DJs taking to the decks. First up is Sabb, set to deliver his iconic mix of crisp drum grooves, chunky, overheated basslines and pitched down vocal samplings. Following this act is Darius Syrossian, who’s nonchalant approach to house and techno catapulted him to the global scene. The day-to-night party kicks off from 1pm.
