Gevora, a 528-key hotel on Sheikh Zayed Road, will be 356 metres high and is set to open tomorrow…

While new hotel openings seem like weekly events here in Dubai, one in particular has caught our eye.

Step this way, Gevora Hotel.

The property, which will have 528 rooms spread right up to the 75th floor, is set to open tomorrow, Monday February 12. And at 356 metres high, that makes it the world’s new tallest hotel.

You’ll find the hotel in the Trade Centre area on Sheikh Zayed Road.

It’s the tall one on the left hand side with the pointy top:

When open, the hotel will offer four dining options. There will be an all-day diner and coffee shop on the mezzanine floor and a fine dining restaurant on Level 12. A pool bar completes the line-up of restaurants.

Adjacent to the pool bar you’ll find a state-of-the-art health club and jacuzzi. Room options vary from a deluxe room up to a two-bedroom suite.

There will also be a luxury spa on level 71 – count us in for a pamper session there.

The record for the world’s tallest hotel is currently held by Dubai’s JW Marriott Marquis.

Other hotels making the top 10 include the Four Seasons Place in Kuala Lumpur, Rose Rayhaan by Rotana in Dubai, and the iconic Burj Al Arab.
