And they’re all new!

From wallet-friendly dinner deals perfect for pairs, to unique dining experiences you wouldn’t get anywhere else, we’re spoiled for choice when it comes to dining out in Dubai.

And if you’re looking for somewhere to head to this weekend, we’ve rounded up three spots we reckon you won’t want to miss out on. There’s a brand new spot offering the highest brunch in Dubai, a homegrown rotisserie opens in a Jumeirah and a brand new pizzeria by celebrity chef Jamie Oliver.

Here are three new restaurants to dine at this weekend.

The homegrown rotisserie: The Roost

Located at the new strip API 1000 Complex, Al Wasl Road in Al Manara, Jumeirah, The Roost Rotisserie is a family-friendly restaurant offering guests a hormone-free and antibiotic-free menu, using from-the-farm ingredients. The menu showcases a variety of rotisserie chickens, available to order in different sizes -The Fifty (Half), The Full Monty (Full) and The Flock (three whole chickens).

API 1000 Complex, Al Wasl Road in Al Manara, Jumeirah. Tel: (800) 76678. More info on Facebook

The celebrity chef: Jamie’s Pizzeria by Jamie Oliver

Jamie’s Pizzeria by Jamie Oliver is located in Cluster R, Jumeirah Lake Towers (JLT), and it’s just opened its doors. This is the first Jamie’s Pizzeria to open in the city, although it will be the British chef’s third opening in Dubai. Jamie Oliver at one stage had two Dubai outlets, one in Festival City, which first opened in 2011, and one in Jumeirah Beach Hotel which followed in 2013. Neither is now in operation, after the Jumeirah Beach Hotel outlet shut its doors at the end of 2017.

For sky-high brunch: Hotel Cartagena

We’re not the biggest fans of character-led restaurants (a fair few seem to have popped up across the city recently), but we’re willing to make an exception for Hotel Cartagena. The Latin American restaurant and bar, which has replaced the all too short lived Morah in the JW Marriott Marquis has just opened, and is running two weeks of Friday brunch before Ramadan. Complete with boho vibes, signature South American dishes and 360 degree views of the city, it’s the tallest brunch there is, perched on level 72 of the Marriott Marquis.

Hotel Cartagena, JW Marriott Marquis, Business Bay, 1.30pm to 4.30pm, Fridays, Dhs295 soft, Dhs395 house. Tel: (04) 560 1799. More info on website
