Here’s the scoop…

Your summer escape just got a whole lot sweeter. Why? Because Emirates is giving out free ice cream cups to all passengers travelling through Terminal 3 at Dubai International Airport over the hotter months.

Keep an eye out for the Emirates branded ice cream carts, which will be placed throughout the departure and transit areas of the terminal. The cool treats will be served during peak departure times every day: Between midnight and 3am, 12.30pm and 2.30pm, and 6pm and 9pm.

The ice cream is made in-house by Emirates Flight Catering, and comes in five flavours – chocolate, vanilla, date & Arabic coffee, mango sorbet, and lemon sorbet. It’s usually only served in premium classes on select flights to Europe and the UK, as well as in the seven Emirates lounges at DXB – so it’s a bit of a delicacy.

The airline will be serving up the ice cream from June 15 to August 31, and expects to hand out a whopping two million cups during this time. It said the simple but “cool” initiative was a reflection of its commitment to delighting customers.
