These spots have all recently opened their doors…

We may already be spoiled for choice when it comes to dining in Dubai, but that doesn’t stop a new restaurant opening up almost every day across the city. So if you’re struggling to keep up, we’ve rounded up five new restaurants in Dubai that have all recently opened their doors.

From monster burgers to top-class bakeries, look no further for dining inspiration this week.

The Blacksmith

The Blacksmith got off to a shaky start. First opening its doors in February, it was forced to close only a month later. But, it’s back now with a new and improved kitchen, and it’s serving up ‘authentic Southern American smokehouse flavours’ from it’s Wyndham Dubai Marina location. Weekly offers include a daily happy hour and a lively Friday brunch.

The Blacksmith, Wyndham Dubai Marina, Dubai Marina, Sun to Mon, 5pm to 2am, Tues to Thurs and Sat, 5pm to 3am, Fri 1pm to 3am. Tel: (04) 407 8873. More info on website

Le Petit Belge Motor City

The third branch of the ever popular Belgian spot in JLT has just opened it’s doors, following on from the second serving in Doubletree by Hilton Business Bay. Located in the Park Inn by Radisson, Motor City, it’s serving up a fuss-free dining experience with simple decor and a focus on authentic Belgian bites.

Le Petit Belge, Park Inn by Radisson, Motor City, daily 12pm to 12am. More info on website

Blowfish

It’s already recently added Little Miss India, Ba Lounge and Seagrill Bistro to its drinking and dining portfolio, and now there’s another addition to the restaurant scene at Fairmont The Palm with the opening of Bowfish. The all-day restaurant is described as a ‘tongue in cheek casual style American dining destination’ serving poolside drinks as well as fast food favourites such as hot dogs, burgers and super sized milkshakes.

Blowfish, Fairmont The Palm, The Palm, daily 12pm to 9pm. Tel: (04) 457 3457. More info on website

Bun Fight

Although Bun Fight opened for delivery last year, you can now dine in at the recently opened restaurant space two days a week. The menu is split into surf (fish) section and turf (meat) monster burgers, as well as offering a choice of bun, dipping sauce and a host of super-sized sides. There’s also a ‘dessurger’, a combo of dessert and burger that’s loaded with a vanilla and pistachio parfait patty dipped in white chocolate, caramel sauce and topped with a toasted brioche bun.

Bun Fight, Jumeirah Beach Road, Jumeirah 3, Thurs and Fri 5pm to 3am, delivery daily 5pm to 1am. Tel: (058) 591 3699. More info on website

Chef Izu Ani is one of the regions top talents. The mastermind behind IZU Brasserie, The Lighthouse, La Serre, and most recently carine, has just opened IZU Bakery in the Dubai Mall. Located in the gourmet section of Galeries Lafayette, inside you’ll find a selection of fresh pastries to go, breakfast dishes served all day and signature dishes such as the Betrrot Salad and Izu burger which have firmly helped put Ani on the map.
