Visas will be issued on arrival to all UAE Residents visiting the Republic of Azerbaijan…

The Eid holidays are less than one month away, which means if you’re planning on traveling but haven’t booked anything yet there’s a brand new destination for you to consider that doesn’t require any annoying visa applications.

Starting July 25, UAE residence visa holders can now visit the Republic of Azerbaijan and be granted a one-month tourist visa upon arrival.

All you need to do is present your passport with a valid UAE residency visa at the airport and you’ll be entitled to stay for 30 days in the eastern European nation.

Previously, visitors would need to obtain a visa from the Azerbaijani embassy in the UAE prior to travelling, however now you only need to make it known if you plan to stay in the country for more than 15 days. If so, you should register at the State Migration Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan – your hotel should be able to help you out with this when you arrive.

Azerbaijan is an oil-rich republic that borders Caspian Sea and Caucasus Mountains. It’s neighbours with two other popular UAE holiday destinations, Georgia and Armenia. Its capital city Baku, is the architectural love child of Paris and Dubai and should make a fantastic vacation spot for those looking to keep budget to a minimum. It’s also really, really pretty.

Time to book a trip to somewhere new, we reckon.
