Brand new taco bars, new ladies’ nights and the world’s biggest book sale…

Welcome to the new week Dubai, and if you’re looking for a way to cure your Sunday blues, look no further. From new openings and evening brunches to meditation and book sales, we’ve rounded up some great deals to get you through the week.

Here are 8 things to do in Dubai this week.

Sunday October 21

1. Check out a new taco bar

El Noctambulo opens its doors today, and we can’t wait to check it out. The funky new taco and tequila bar promisees a dozen different types of tacos, empanadas and guac as well as a dedicated tequila bar where you’ll find tequila (naturally), mezcal and the famous Micheladas (a Mexican beer made with lime juice), served up to a predominantly Mexican Hip Hop and RnB playlist.

El Noctámbulo, Building 8, Dubai Design District, daily 12pm to 12am. Tel: (04) 566 8374. Facebook.com/elnoctambulo.d3

2. Bag a bargain at a huge book sale

The world’s biggest book sale is in full swing in Dubai this week. Running until October 28, the Big Bad Wolf Books Sale is showcasing over three million brand new English-language books for sale, with 50 to 80 per cent off the normal retail prices.

The whole night is ladies-only, so there’s boys allowed, and you’ll also be served by an all-female team.
