The stunning new spot is now serving up stripped back party vibes on the Palm Jumeirah…

It was a sad day when El Chiringuito announced it was closing its doors last month, but just days later, a new concept called Playa Nomade was announced to take its place.

Promising a stripped back, nomadic look with a more lively vibe, the homegrown concept opened its doors a couple of weeks ago, so we’ve headed in to have a look inside.

Gone are the mighty arches, flowers and oh-so instagrammable DJ booth, with Playa Nomade welcoming an all-day party with DJ booths taking pride of place on both the beach and poolside.

The beach club opens Wednesday to Sunday from 11am to 8pm, with extended opening hours on Friday night. A day-to-night beachside party takes over Fridays, (an extension of their famed Nomad night from before) and the venue promises some big house acts over the coming months.

This Friday October 26, they’ll host a Halloween-themed night ‘Apocalypto’ with headliners YokoO, LUM, Oceanvs Orientalis, Marymoon, Britta unders and MOii.

Although the beach club is the star of the show, the a la cartemenu is well worth checking out, as well as the two weekly brunches; ‘Wild Hearts’ on a Friday and ‘La Familia’ on a Saturday. On the menu, expect a totally revamped offering that’s gone a lot more meaty. Highlights include a mushroom risotto, marinated beef tataki and a black angus beef tomahawk.
