The new weekly night will also allow photography and social media for the first time.

Dubai’s DIFC is bustling with some top-notch restaurants, bars and lounges, but one that has remained more secretive than the rest is Socialista. The private members club can be found in the Gate Village, and has operated a strict members-only door policy since it arrived.

However, that’s set to change, as the upscale lounge is set to open one night a week to the public for a brand new night. Taking place every Wednesday from October 17, Havana Society is inspired by pre-revolution Habaneros, and promises live music and Latin entertainment each week.

Each week, Socialista aims to recreate summer nights in 1950’s Old Havana, with the live band playing energetic salsa sounds that are sure to have guests on their feet by the end of the evening.

It’s a fitting new night for the members club, which is inspired by pre-revolution Cuba from its lavish interiors to a cocktail menu which plays tribute to Cuba’s rich history. At Havana Society, there will even be a professional torcedor on hand, to hand roll Cuban cigars.

Feeling peckish? Guests can enjoy dishes from Socialista’s sister restaurant, Cipriani, including Pizza with Burrata, Rucola and Black Truffle, and Pizza “Valtellina” with Bresaola and Rucola.

It’s the first time Socialista is set to welcome non-members, as well as photography, which has also previously been prohibited in the venue.

Instagram at the ready, we can’t wait to check it out…
