The London Project is the first in a cluster of soon-to-open licensed venues on the island…

Bluewaters island has slowly been welcoming guests since early November, and now its first standalone licensed restaurant has opened its doors – and we can’t wait to pay it a visit.

Inspired by ‘the form of a living tree’, The London Project is a garden-inspired restaurant and bar, completely kitted out with colourful artworks, leafy foliage and exotic flowers.

Despite its namesake, The London Project is a homegrown concept found right under the Ain Dubai wheel.

The London Project houses a restaurant downstairs, while upstairs you’ll find the gin garden, which is modeled on a wild, overgrown English country garden, complete with outdoor terrace.

On the menu, you’ll find modern interpretations of British and Mediterranean classics, creatively plated and designed to be shared. The kitchen is open plan, so we’re hoping for plenty of table theatrics when we pay The London Project a visit.

As well as being a social space, the Gin Garden will also house its own gin distillery, producing The London Project gin. On the bar shelves, you’ll also be able to find specially selected craft beers, including a selection from London’s first craft brewery, Meantime.

The London Project is one of a handful of standalone licensed venues set to open their doors on Bluewaters island. Soon restaurants including another serving of Turkish steakhouse Gunaydin, Amalfi coast inspired Alici and The Selfish Bull, a surf and turf restaurant will all open their doors.
