Just wait until you see inside…

You might head to Pier 7 for your weekly Tuesday ladies’ night bar-hop, but there’s a new reason to now go, thanks to the arrival of Mama Zonia.

Found on the second floor of the Dubai Marina hotspot, Mama Zonia promises to take you on a journey through the Amazon rainforest thanks to its jungle-themed decor, tribal entertainment and tropical, Latin American cuisine.

Split into an expansive terrace which overlooks Dubai Marina, a restaurant complete with open plan grill kitchen and raw bar, and an upscale cocktail bar marveled on Havana’s legendary ‘La Floridta’, Mama Zonia will open for lunch, dinner and drinks late into the night, staying open until 2am through the week and 3am on weekends.

The decor is pretty wow-worthy, with a huge Mango tree draping over the entrance, tropical wallpapers lining the walls and plenty of jungle foliage and floor to ceiling flowers cleverly separating the restaurant into different areas to wander through.

On the menu, guests can tuck into Latin American dishes designed to share such as prime beef short ribs, Yuzu Ponzu – a watermelon creation topped with avocado sauce and puffed quinoa and scallops cooked in the shell, all served up to the sounds of live tribal drummers evoking the sounds of an Amazon tribe. Not quite the R&B hit list you’re used to at most Dubai restaurant tables…

The venue has already launched a weekday business lunch, gents’ night every Monday, ladies’ night every Tuesday, so we’re confident you’ll want to be adding it to your weekly circuit…
