The stunning new Palm Jumeirah hotel boasts 350 rooms, two celebrity chef-led restaurants, a chic rooftop and the legendary Wet Deck…

An uber-cool, lively new hotel is set to open its doors next week as the legendary W Hotel brand arrives on the palm as W Dubai – The Palm officially begins welcoming guests from Friday February 1.

The hotel, found on the West Crescent of the Palm Jumeirah, is home to 350 guest rooms which range from the standard ‘Wonderful Room’, up to the ‘Mega Suite’, a one-bedroom suite complete with a king sized bed, ocean view and expansive balcony.

There will also be some exciting new dining outlets with its arrival, with two new restaurants backed by celebrity chefs. Akira Back’s self-titled restaurant will be his first in Dubai, and will open daily for dinner. The restaurant promises Japanese cuisine with Korean influences, with plenty of Akira Back’s signature dishes that have made the adrenaline-fueled chef famous in the US.

Down on the beachfront will be Massimo Bottura’s Torno Subito. Open daily for lunch and dinner, the restaurant from the chef behind the current world number one restaurant promises a ‘taste of the 1960’s Italian Riviera’ in a kitsch, casual setting. We’ve already got our eye on that gelato trolley…

Elsewhere, rooftop lounge SoBe is set to become our new go-to sundowner spot and comes complete with 360 degree skyline views, while the W Lounge and and all-day dining restaurant complete the culinary line-up.

The hotel is also home to the W brands legendary Wet Deck – an expansive pool deck that’s lined with shaded cabanas.

You won’t want to visit without a trip to the spa though. The AWAY spa brand prides itself on being the go-to spa that’s perfect if you’re feeling overworked, under-slept or partied out, which just about ticks the boxes of every resident in town. Designed with a lively vibe in mind, treatments include body scrubs, eye treatments, massages, make-up services, waxing, facials and more.

It’s not the first W property to open in Dubai. The W Al Habtoor City opened its doors in 2016, however was rebranded in the summer of 2018 after Hilton took over from Marriott running the three hotels in Al Habtoor City.

We can’t wait to check in.
