Jackie Chan is making a new film in Dubai
Look out for him around Downtown Dubai and City Walk…
Fans of Action star Jackie Chan will be delighted to know that the popular actor is preparing for his return to the Dubai to shoot his second movie in the Middle East. The new film, titled Vanguard, will be directed by Kung Fu Yoga‘s director Stanley Tong.
The Dubai Film and TV Commission hopes that the film will ‘add to the growing number of successful films being produced in Dubai’. Jamal Al Sharif, chairman of the commission, said, “Stanley Tong and Jackie Chan have a great affinity for Dubai and we are happy to have them back in town working with our local crew who helped in the making of Kung Fu Yoga previously. Dubai continues to attract blockbuster movies and we are glad to embrace all of them,” according to Gulf News.

Chan’s last visit way back in 2015 saw him enjoying some of the best tourist hotspots that Dubai has to offer including Burj Khalifa, The Lost Chambers Aquarium and even flying a helicopter around JLT.

Details of the movie’s storyline have been closely guarded for now. However, we do know it will include a few famous faces such as Yang Yang, Ai Lun, Zhu Zhengting, Jackson Lou and Mia as well as talent selected from in the UAE and 500+ extras.
Filming is rumoured to begin at the end of February so make sure to keep your eyes peeled…
