Cruise your way around Dubai’s biggest and best landmarks as the sun sets…

If you’re looking for something different to do on Thursday and Friday evenings, we may have found just the thing. Dubai Ferry have launched a new weekend evening service offering residents and tourists the opportunity to see Dubai’s greatest landmarks from the water.

The new marine line, which is running on a trial basis, will start from Sheikh Zayed Road Station at 9pm and 10pm on Thursdays and from 4pm to 10pm on Fridays. From there, the ferry will pass through Burj Khalifa, Festival City, Dubai Creek, Old Souq, Al Seef, Spice Souq, La Mer and back to Sheikh Zayed Road Station.

Prices for adults start from Dhs50 for silver class and Dhs75 for gold class while children between two and 12 can redeem 50 per cent discount and children under two will be free.

Perfect if you have visitors coming through the summer months, you can explore the urban landmarks of Downtown Dubai, the Creek and Old Dubai from the comfort of an air-conditioned vessel.

Mohammed Abu Baker Al Hashimi, Director of Marine Transport at RTA’s Public Transport Agency said: “The launch of this line is part of RTA’s efforts to enhance the tourist profile of these areas, which have an attractive array of captivating urban landmarks. RTA is always keen on launching initiatives to boost beach tourism in Dubai, especially as Dubai has a long coastal line with huge tourist attractions. The launch of this line will support RTA’s strategic plans aimed at attracting more fans to marine tourism.”
