Eid Al Fitr is almost upon us, and for the majority of us its going to be a fun-filled, work-free week. Seeing as June is our 40th birthday month (of course you need a whole month to celebrate), we’ve rounded up 40 different fun things you can do to celebrate Eid.

If you’re lucky enough to have the next seven days off, here’s 40 things to do in Dubai this week.

Sunday June 2

1. Ride the XLine

The longest urban zip line, XLine Dubai Marina, is offering a cool 30 per cent discount on rides from Thursday May 30 until Saturday June 8. For a solo ride you’d normally pay Dhs650 but during Eid the price drops to Dhs455. And, if you want to share the experience, you can opt for the double ride which is now Dhs840 instead of Dhs1200.

2. Enjoy an Italian feast at BiCE

June 2 is Italian National Day so BiCE Ristorante has decided to celebrate in the best way. Guests who want to dine in the Hilton Dubai Jumeirah restaurant for lunch or dinner can enjoy 50 per cent off the total bill for the whole day.

4. Get 75 per cent of tickets to La Perle

Zero Gravity is hosting one, not two, but six brunches to celebrate Eid this week. 7. Spend two days at Aquaventure

8. Have dinner for only Dhs150

13. Party at Nikki Beach

Celebratory fireworks will be seen at beachfront destination La Mer and Al Seef, on Dubai Creek, on the first day of Eid (either on Tuesday June 4 or Wednesday June 5), from 9.30pm. While Dubai Festival City Mall will also be showcasing their own firework display, to the backdrop of IMAGINE, their light and laser show on Wednesday June 5 and Thursday June 6.

17. Check out a new ladies’ night

La Carnita’s secret bar has launched a weekly ladies’ night taking place every Wednesday. Called PATRONA, it offers girls unlimited free drinks from 11pm to 2am including house beverages and wine. The music is an eclectic mix of 2000’s RnB and hip-hop, afrobeat mixed with oldschool favourites.

19. Make a Bollywood day of it

35. Take the kids to a movie at the Louvre

Louvre Abu Dhabi will celebrate Eid with screenings of five animated movies  which are inspired by universal themes of unity, family and tolerance. The series, curated by Rinku Awtani, is linked to the current exhibition at the Children’s Museum: Animals, Between Real and Imaginary.
