The family-friendly restaurant promises ladies’ nights, business lunches and free meals for under 12s on the weekend…

Neighbouring the recently opened Mr Miyagi’s, Maine Street Eatery and L’Arte in Studio One Hotel is their funky new amigo, El Chapo’s Tacos. A homegrown Mexican spot, the quirky restaurant is set to bring affordable, ‘authentic Mexican flavours, sounds and experiences to the sandy suburbs of Dubai’. And we’ve paid it a visit ahead of opening on Thursday July 25.

Open daily from midday, the family-friendly restaurant features a dedicated family area that plays host to an array of games and spaces for children to enjoy.

While the children siesta, the adults can fiesta in the funky restaurant and bar space, that comes complete with kitsch tiled foors, bright orange booths and neon signs that adorn mural-filled walls.

The kitchen, spearheaded by chef Jose Carlos will serve up an array of traditional Mexican dishes and family recipes designed to share, as well as a twist on classic tex mex dishes.

Of course, the venue promises an array of authentic beverages and mixed drinks to wash down mouthfuls of Mexican street food from their ‘Tequiling me softly’ titled bar.

A weekday business lunch will launch soon, offering guests two courses of Mexican street food for Dhs69, or upgrade to three courses and it’s Dhs89.

The venue will also launch a weekly ladies’ night, offering ladies three course and three drinks for Dhs149, and a Wednesday dinner deal for all its guests, serving up two courses for Dhs99 or three courses for Dhs149.
