Americano promises dinner, drinks & tomfoolery from September…

A brand new bar and restaurant is set to open its doors in Dubai’s Souk Madinat Jumeirah this September and we’re already excited to check it out.

Called Americano, it’s the latest in a string of speakeasy, pre-prohibition inspired openings to make their way to the city, joining the likes of Distillery and Phoenix Social Club that have recently opened their doors.

The new bar and restaurant will occupy the spot previously inhabited by Japengo Cafe and while renovations are currently underway and we’ve no images of the venue yet, if the renders are anything to go by, we can expect an industrial style interior complete with leafy botanicals.

As well as offering cosy tables for two, the restaurant will also be home to big leather booths for groups, while guests will be able to perch up at the central bar and watch master mixologists at work from comfy leather barstools.

Americano’s Instagram doesn’t give much away, but advises guests to expect “dinner, drinks and tomfoolery”, so we’re expecting a stylish venue to enjoy food and drinks for both lunch and dinner, with some quirky and unusual touches thrown in.

Americano is the newest addition to international F&B company FFI’s (Food Fund International) repertoire, who already have well known brands like The Meat Co. and Taverna under their belt in the Middle East.
